We're delighted to announce that Robert Harrison has been elected as Chairman of Scarborough Cricket Club.

Robert has been an integral part of the newly formed management committee who took over the running of the club at the end of 2025 following a Special General Meeting (SGM).

Robert previously played for the club from 1991 to 2003, helping the club to enjoy a successful period during his time at North Marine Road. He has also turned out for the 2nd XI this season, helping them achieve back-to-back promotions.

His appointment will be critical in ensuring the new committee continues to develop Scarborough Cricket Club, on and off the field.

Robert said: "It is an honour to be appointed as Chairman of Scarborough Cricket Club. I enjoyed some great times on the field at the club, and now I hope to contribute to pushing the club forward off the field too.

"I'd like to thank my fellow committee members and the club's staff for all their hard work and contributions that have helped us start to turn things around. We now need to use the off-season to continue developing things across the club.
