Third Eleven

The team had a reasonable season overall with six victories, eight defeats and four abandoned matches to finish in sixth position.

The leading run scorer, who also headed the averages, was Alex Renwick with 331 runs at an average of 55-17 including the team’s highest score of the season with 100 not out against Seamer. The other main run scorers were Martin North with 217 runs (average 31.00) and Kawsar Ahmed 169 (28.17).

The bowling averages were headed by Jordan Welford who took ten wickets at an average of 9.10 including 6-31 against Glaisdale. The leading wicket taker was Chris Hunter with 35 wickets at an average of 11.74 including 7-28 against Ebberston, one of three five wicket hauls in the season. Bob Carver took 31 wickets at an average of 13.35 including 5-53 against Fylingdales. Kawsar Ahmed took 18 wickets at an average of 15.39 including 5-32 against Hospitals.

Jonathan Read in his debut season had thirteen wicket keeping dismissals (ten caught and three stumped).

Martin North had eight outfield catches.
